[Update #2]: Creative Assembly has revealed the full scope of the upcoming Beastmen vs Lizardmen DLC, and it's quite an impressive menagerie!

[Update]: Creative Assembly have begun teasing a new and mysterious free DLC that will accompany The Silence & The Fury.

It may have taken what feels like an eternity, but the long-neglected Beastmen will soon be getting the improvements they desperately need. So mark July 14th on your calendars as that's when the Beastmen led by Taurox will square off against the Lizardmen led by Oxyolt in Total War: Warhammer 2's penultimate DLC The Silence & The Fury!

The exact details are currently still few and far between, but you can expect to see two new factions with their own unique campaign mechanics and gameplay flavor, a variety of new units and heroes to toy around with, and if the recent Wood Elf DLC is any judge, a massive rework of the Beastmen faction as a whole.

As for what exactly the two Legendary Lords will look like in-game, that you can find out through the freshly posted teaser trailer. Have a peek:

Beastmen: Taurox

After embarking on a bloody rampage through Talabecland, Taurox was rewarded by the dark gods with a body of brass… and still, he thirsts for slaughter! As he wins battles, Taurox gains Momentum, and his army can replenish action points to fight and fight again. The longer his kill-streak continues, the greater the gifts bestowed upon him by the ruinous powers. He and his Beastmen hordes will ultimately need to locate the Heart of Darkness, where he will face Oxyotl in a final, decisive battle.

Lizardmen: Oxyotl

A chameleon Skink of high renown, Oxyotl has a long history of fighting – and succeeding against – the otherworldly forces of Chaos. His prescience enables him to detect where the forces of chaos will strike next and, utilizing the network of lost Secret Sanctums across the world only he can capture and develop, Oxyotl can choose which threats to tackle, and reap the rewards of victory. Oxyotl can instantly travel between his capitol, his unique mission areas, and any Secret Sanctums he has rediscovered. Ultimately, he must travel to the Heart of Darkness and face the hordes of Taurox in a final, desperate battle.

Once more details becomes available, ideally alongside a proper gameplay trailer, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can gleam a few more tidbits of information over at Steam.
