Yooka-Laylee is the long-awaited spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, but is it an enjoyable game in its own right or a mere copycat trying to coast along on nostalgia alone? Well, that's not exactly an easy question to answer.

While Yooka-Laylee might not be as bad as some reviews would lead you to believe, it does suffer from a significant number of problems that will impact your enjoyment the further along you go. So before you crack open your wallet I would recommend checking out my brief gameplay video covering the introduction and first 20 minutes. Its not much, but it should give you an idea of what Yooka-Laylee is all about. Have a look:
