[Update]: Bithell Games are now working on Tron: Identity - an investigation focused visual novel!
Thomas Was Alone and Volume developer Mike Bithell has announced that he and his team are now not only tackling their very first licensed game, but a John Wick game at that! The freshly revealed John Wick Hex will be a fast-paced strategy game where players will need to carefully consider every move and action they take, as every single one can have both immediate and long-term consequences.
Since trying to explain this trough words alone is a bit of a pointless task, allow me to share with you the recently posted announcement trailer. Have a gander, it's certainly an interesting one:
While I'm not exactly a fan of the visuals, I must admit I'm quite curious about what the moment-to-moment gameplay will feel like. Will this be as fast-paced and brutal as Hotline Miami, or will it be like a more strategy-focused version of something like Superhot?
If you're hoping I have an answer to that question, I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you as very little is known about John Wick Hex right now. Still, it is an interesting concept, and one I will be keeping an eye on moving forward.
If you would like to do the same, you should head on over to the official website, though don't expect to see much in terms of information just yet. As for the platforms, you can expect John Whick Hex to be available on Windows and Mac via the Epic Games Store on launch, while the consoles versions will be coming at a future date.
