Killer Klowns from Outer Space artwork for the asymmetrical multiplayer game spin-off

In an announcement that I don't think a single person on this planet could've predicted, the 1988 horror-comedy Killer Klowns from Outer Space is now getting a Dead By Daylight or Friday the 13th: The Game styled tie-in game. In other words, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game will be an asymmetrical multiplayer game where three Klown players will need to capture all of the townsfolk while the seven Human players will be working towards either de-activating their spaceship, escaping before the time runs out, or simply keeping the majority of the townsfolk alive.

Both sides will have five different classes to choose from, each of which comes with their own sets of strengths and weaknesses. As such, you'll need to work with your fellow players in order to accomplish your goals, as even a demented space clown is no match for a group of resourceful players.

No gameplay preview has been revealed just yet, but you can get a pretty good idea of the sort of atmosphere Killer Klowns from Outer Space is going for through the reveal trailer below. Have a peek:

No exact release date has been given just yet, but you can expect Killer Klowns from Outer Space to launch in early 2023 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. If you don't feel like waiting until then to put on your clown shoes, however, you'll be happy to hear that the Teravision Games team has already opened up sign-ups for the closed beta.

You can apply for a chance at entry, as well as learn more about Killer Klowns from Outer Space, over at the official website. Enjoy!
