Gargoyles Remastered official artwork and logo

If you're in the mood for a bit of nostalgia, and you don't mind feeling ancient, you might be interested to hear that the 1995 Sega Genesis action-platformer Gargoyles is getting a remastered version. The aptly named Gargoyles Remastered will be landing onto PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation, Xbox and Switch on October 19th.

As you would expect, Gargoyles Remastered will come with enhanced visuals, animations and sound. There's also going to be a couple of optional modern features in there as well - things like achievements, the ability to rewind time, the option to swap between the old and new versions on the fly, "and more".

What all of this looks like in action, that you can check out through the freshly posted announcement trailer. Have a gander:

I haven't played Gargoyles since I was a little kid so take the following with a few grains of salt, but I do remember it being a great deal of fun. I don't think I ever managed to finish it as it was simply too hard for lil' ol' me, but sure do remember having a blast with those first two levels!

Once Gargoyles Remastered finally arrives I'll make sure to let you know. Until then you can read a few more tidbits about it over at Steam.
