[Update #2]: The Surge 2 now has a lengthy and rather exciting developer walkthrough!

[Update]: Well, in the process of writing all of this up, it would appear that Deck 13 has gone and announced the release date themselves. It's official - The Surge 2 will be launching this September 24th!

[Old story]: Despite being announced all the way back in early 2018 and set for a 2019 release date, very little has been heard about The Surge 2 for quite a few months. And with Lords of the Fallen 2 recently losing its main developer, there were also quite a few rumors about The Surge 2 having a troubled development as well.

Thankfully, it would appear that The Surge 2 is chugging along quite nicely! In fact, according to the pre-order listing on the Microsoft website, The Surge 2 will be arriving in the relatively near future - September 23rd!

Before you get too excited, it is important to mention that none of this has been officially confirmed just yet. It could simply be a mistake, or even just a placeholder date someone put in and then forget to remove. In fact, there's even a mistake on the leaked page itself as the very bottom points towards a September 24th release date!

Where exactly the truth lies, I'm afraid I don't know, but I do have a feeling we'll find out more during the upcoming E3 2019. Once more information becomes available I'll make sure to let you know, and until then you can read a little bit more about The Surge 2 over at the official website.
