[Update]: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is getting its very first expansion this January, 2021 - Lords of the West!
If you're up for a bit of a nostalgia trip, or if you're curious about what one of the most celebrated RTS games has to offer, you might be interested to hear that Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will be coming this November 14th! Much like its predecessor, Age of Empires 2 will be available on both the Microsoft Store and Steam.
The full list of changes and improvements hasn't been announced just yet, but you can expect to see greatly improved visuals, support for 4K resolutions, as well as a new and fully remastered soundtrack. Most importantly, Age of Empires 2 will also bring with it a bunch of new content - three new campaigns and four new civilizations!
For those of you that love the competitive aspect of Age of Empires 2, I do have a few more bits of good news. Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will not only have a fully featured spectator mode, but it will also have native streaming support. So as long as there is interest, there should be plenty of quality matches to watch!
While I'd love to tell you more, that's pretty much it as far as the current information goes. You can keep an eye on any future updates over at the official website, but for now I'll leave you with the recently posted teaser trailer. Enjoy!
