MTG Arena artwork for Historic Anthology 7's Sword of Fire and Ice

[Update]: Historic Anthology 7 and Explorer Anthology 3 have arrived alongside a nerf to Crucias!

In order to help spice up the Explorer and Historic formats, MTG Arena will be releasing two new anthologies on July 18th. Both Explorer Anthology 3 and Historic Anthology 7 will come with 25 'new' cards that will span everything from competitive staples to fan-favorite jank.

Much like before, each anthology will set you back 25,000 gold or 4,000 gems and will come with a full playset (four copies) of each card. So while the price is a bit steep, it's definitely worth the trouble if you're planning to use a couple of the rares and mythics.

This goes doubly so for Historic Anthology 7 as this one is absolutely jam-packed with quality cards. Not all of them are likely to see competitive play, but as far as pure entertainment goes, it's hard to go wrong with stuff like Primeval Titan, Bloodbraid Elf or Sword of Fire and Ice.

Speaking of cards, you can check out everything coming with Historic Anthology 7 over at the official card gallery, and the same goes for Explorer Anthology 3.

The final thing worth mentioning is that you don't need to purchase either anthology in order to play around with the new cards. You can simply craft them with wildcards just like any other card, which is also what you'll need to do once both anthologies eventually leave the store on October 10th, 2023.

Have fun brewing up new deck ideas, and I'll make sure to let you know once the anthologies arrive as I'm quite excited to start messing around with them myself!
