[Update #2]: Apex Legends has detailed all of the additions and balance changes coming in with Season 9.

[Update]: Newest Season 9 preview shows off Valkyrie and the three new Arena maps!

If you're tired of the various limited-time events and are itching for something to really shake Apex Legends up, you'll be happy to hear that Season 9 is just around the corner. Once it arrives this May 4th, Season 9 - Legacy will bring with it a brand new Legend by the name of Valkyrie, the deadly medium-range Bocek Bow, a nature-infested version of Olympus, and naturally, a new Battle Pass and ranked season.

While the actual details are still few and far between, you can learn a bit more about who Valkyrie is and what she's fighting for through the newest animated short. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun one:

If you're willing to indulge some rumors, it's also worth mentioning that Season 9 will likely bring with it a new Arena game mode. Once again the specifics are currently shrouded in mystery, but it looks like the arena game mode will be a 3v3 affair that's all about quick bursts of action across a variety of locations from all three maps.
