I fully expected that Ubisoft would eventually start remastering the old Assassin's Creed games, most of them are still held in high regard after all, but what I never could've guessed is that they would start with Assassin's Creed 3! Yet that is exactly what's happening given that Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered will be available in both Odyssey's Season Pass and as a standalone purchase in March of 2019.
If you're up for even more surprises, you might be interested to hear that the PlayStation Vita game Assassin's Creed Liberation will also be getting remastered and bundled together with Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered. Oh, and it's also worth mentioning that all of Assassin's Creed 3 DLCs will be included as a part of the core game. A pretty sweet deal if you ask me!
In terms of improvements, however, Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered will bring with it greatly enhanced textures, support for modern resolutions (including 4K), as well as improved gameplay mechanics. What exactly that last part refers to, that's still a bit of a mystery, but if I were to hazard a guess I would say that they'll likely rework the movement and general controls as those have been continuously getting better throughout the series.
That's pretty much it as far as these two remasters are concerned, but if you'd like to learn a little bit more about the Odyssey Season Pass, I'll leave you with the recently posted trailer. Enjoy!
