Larian Studios sure are industrious, I'll give them that. It hasn't even been two months since Baldur's Gate 3 launched out of Steam Early Access, and already they've managed to release three massive updates!
The freshly released Patch #3 might end up being the most important one out of the bunch as it not only brings with it a large assortment of bug fixes and quality of life improvements, but also the often-requested ability to change your appearance, and even full Mac support. Do be warned, however, that saves made in previous versions of Baldur's Gate 3 on Mac will not be compatible with the full release. Furthermore, in order to minimize any potential compatibility issues, it's highly recommended you fully uninstall the game and remove any mods before installing the latest Mac version.
As for the appearance-altering Magic Mirror, you can it in your camp and use it as many times as you like to mess around with your appearance, voice, pronounces and nether regions, though your race/subrace and body type cannot be changed. Similarly, origin characters and hirelings cannot use the Magic Mirror for obvious reasons, while any sort of cosmetic modifications you got through your gameplay decisions (such as losing your eye) cannot be adjusted and will forever be a part of your character.
When it comes to the gameplay improvements and bug fixes, I'm afraid there are simply far too many for me to even attempt to summarize them. What I will highlight, however, is a simple yet highly welcome little addition - "Level Up will now queue all characters who can be levelled up so you don't have to click on them individually." I don't know why that annoyed me so much, but it really did, so seeing it changed this quickly really is quite pleasing!
You can check out the full list of changes, tweaks and improvements over at the official website. Enjoy, and I'll make sure to let you know if the next big updates adds something new and particularly spicy.
