After a brief early access period that saw the game's hype levels go through the stratosphere, Bethesda's space exploration RPG Starfield has now finally been released in full. As you might expect from that description alone, Starfield is all about wandering from planet to planet collecting resources, annoying NPCs with endless questions, fine-tuning your ship and crew, and naturally, blowing apart anything not vaguely friend-shaped!
What all of this looks like in action, that you can check out through one of the gameplay trailers below. Have a gander, it's quite a pretty one:
As for its quality, you've no doubt heard by this point that Stafield is pretty darn good, much like all of Bethesda's mainline games. I won't be a contrarian and say that everyone else is wrong about this, because they really aren't, though I do have to emphasize that Starfield is just 'good' and not some kind of transcendent experience.
Much like Skyrim that came before it, I find Starfield to be a very good base that might lack a bit of depth right now, but can easily be expanded through future DLC or community-made mods. So while I would recommend giving it a bash, just make sure you enter the game with realistic expectations as it's both highly entertaining and also somewhat flawed.
Whatever your plans may be, you can learn more about Starfield, as well as check out some of the player reviews before diving in, over at Steam. Enjoy!
