[Update #2]: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night update has made the umbrella-wielding vampire Bloodless a playable character.
[Update]: Bloodstained has now sold over one million copies, and is celebrating this milestone with a brand new roadmap!
If you're looking for a reason to take Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for another spin, this latest update should be a pretty good one! Not only has it added Zangetsu as a brand new character with his own abilities and action-packed playstyle, but also a Randomizer game mode that lets you reshuffle and reshape the usual campaign experience.
To unlock Zangetsu all you need to do is complete the good ending, after which you'll be able to choose him on your next playthrough. His character is almost entirely geared towards combat, and with very little in terms of loot or shards to worry about, expect to have a fast and rather exciting playthrough!
As for the Randomizer game mode, it's all about adjusting eight different game parameters in order to customize your new run through Ritual of the Night and make it all the more interesting. You're able to shuffle around key items, switch up the locations of save and warp rooms, make it so enemies can drop literally any shard from the entire game, mess around with the crafting recipes, and so forth.
If you find a particularly exciting set of changes, it's worth mentioning that each Randomizer run will have its own unique seed. You can send this seed to your friends or the Ritual of the Night community in general, after which they will be able to play in the exact same world and see who can blaze through it the fastest... or at all!
