[Update #2]: Borderlands 2 has just received a hefty new free DLC to help bridge the gap with Borderlands 2!
[Update]: Gearbox has released a brand new preview showing off two of the new playable characters!
After being rumored and leaked for well over a year at this point, Gearbox has now finally come out to announce that they are working on Borderlands 3. Perhaps most importantly, they have then followed up on that announcement by releasing a lengthy and rather awesome in-game trailer!
So if you're curious about what exactly the new playable characters will be like, as well as what sort of locations and enemies you'll get to make a mess out of, you should check out the trailer right below. Have a gander:
There are very few gameplay details currently available, but given the trailer and its accompanying presentation, it really does appear that Gearbox has a pretty good idea of what they're doing with the Borderlands series, as well as how to take it to the next level. Though to be perfectly honest, even if Gearbox didn't learn anything and simply made Borderlands 2: Even More Borderlands, I have a feeling they would still have one of the best 'looter shooters' around.
