[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3 has been revealed alongside Daemons of Chaos, Kislev and Cathay!

It has only been a little while since The Twisted & The Twilight DLC arrived, and already Creative Assembly has begun teasing a brand new addition to the Total War: Warhammer series. However, unlike the past few teasers that were relatively straightforward, the devs are keeping things a bit more mysterious this time around.

The two teasers released so far show a Celestial Wizard looking at various constellations in the sky, all the while delivering some potentially cryptic dialogue. Before I give you my theory, here are the two videos so you can hopefully get a bit of an idea of what's going on:

Personally, I think this is a really elaborate teaser for Total War: Warhammer 3, and specifically the four Chaos gods. I say this because the first teaser mentions both rage and Grungi's Baldric, the star sign of martial pursuits and honorable warriors, which both point towards Khorne. The second teaser briefly flashes a very Tzeentchy looking emblem in the sky before focusing on the Piper - the star sign of the trickster and of cunning diplomats.

Now I'm fully aware that this is a bit of a stretch, but the good news is that the theory will either break or get proven with the next teaser. If we get something resembling a star sign for Nurgle or Slaanesh, as well as dialogue pointing towards emotions ruled by either of them, I think it'll be prime time to start the Total War: Warhammer 3 hype-train. And if everything falls apart, at least we'll still have an exciting mystery on our hands!

[Update]: A brand new teaser has arrived, and I'm delighted to say my mad ravings appear to be correct! The two new constellations align quite nicely with Slaanesh and Nurgle!

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once Creative Assembly finally reveals their hand.
