Official artwork and logo for the digital board game Carcassonne

If you're in the mood for something a little bit out of the ordinary, you might be interested to hear that digital board games Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride are currently entirely free to grab. Simply visit the Epic Games Store, log into your account or create a new one, and you'll be ready to flip over the virtual table in no time.

As always, there is a bit of a catch. Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride will only remain free until February 13th, so if you're interested, do make sure to grab them before that date. You don't even need to install them. As long as you ensure they're registered to your account, you'll be good to go.

When it comes to judging either game's quality, I'm afraid I'm completely useless here as board games are just not my forte. That said, I have heard good things about Carcassonne over the years, so it might be worth giving it a try if you have a couple of friends around. I mean, it is entirely free, so might as well?

Either way, you should definitely keep an eye out for next week's giveaway as it'll be the excellent medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Until then, however, I'll leave you with the short trailer for Carcassonne. Have fun!
