In a rather odd marketing move Bethesda announced Dishonored 2 almost exactly a year ago, and then shared quite literally zero information about it ever since.
The silence has now thankfully been broken as the official release date has been set for November 11, a slight delay from the previously expected spring 2016 release. If you haven't seen it already, here's the announcement trailer from last year's E3:
Dishonored 2 will continue off with the same gameplay and story themes from Dishonored 1, which means plenty of sneaking, stabbing, teleporting around, and most importantly, reloading every twenty steps because a random guard accidentally bumped into you!
While we don't know much about the differences between the two games, we do know that you will be able to either reprise your role as Corvo Attano, the royal protector and overly silent protagonist, or Empress Emily Kaldwin who apparently has time to moonlight as an assassin in between all of her royal duties.
Don't take me poking fun at Dishonored 2 as an indication of hatred, because the truth lies on the completely opposite spectrum, but there's currently very little information to work with, so being slightly facetious is all I have to entertain myself with until Bethesda finally decides to throw us a bone. Luckily, there will be a proper, long gameplay reveal during this year's E3 on June 12, so if you're interested in Dishonored 2 make sure to catch it on Bethesda's Twitch channel.
