[Update #2]: After three years in Early Access, Baldur's Gate 3 has now launched to overwhelming praise!
[Update]: Baldur's Gate 3 will be launching onto PC nearly a month ahead of schedule, on August 3rd.
If you're like me and you're patiently waiting for Baldur's Gate 3 to get fully finished before finally diving in, you'll be happy to hear that Larian Studios have now announced a tentative release date. As long as everything goes according to plan, Baldur's Gate 3 will be leaving Early Access and properly launching onto PC in August 2023.
Given that Google is shutting down Stadia this January, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that the Stadia version of Baldur's Gate 3 will be not launching as planned. As for the regular console versions, nothing new has been announced just yet, though if the two Divinity: Original Sin games are any judge you can expect to see the Baldur's Gate 3's console ports to arrive at some point next year.
If you're curious what exactly Baldur's Gate 3 has to offer, as well as which fan-favorite character will be making a surprise reappearance (hint: it's the one who's face is plastered all over the thumbnail), that you can find out through the most recent trailer below. Have a peek:
Once we get a proper release date, most likely half a year from now, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can read a bit more about Baldur's Gate 3, as well as keep track of any updates, over at Steam. Enjoy!
