[Update #2]: Dota 2 has just given all players a generous gift - the Battle Pass, a $30 Arcana and a month of Dota Plus! All you have to do is play ten games during the course of the 2022 Battle Pass.
[Update]: Dota 2 has launched Update 7.23c to fix up any balance issues before The International 2022 starts.
Last week Dota 2's Patch 7.32 brought with it an absurd amount of balance changes and additions that messed around with everything from the heroes to the items and even the map itself. Unsurprisingly given the sheer scale of the changes, Patch 7.32 arrived alongside a hefty amount of bugs and balance issues that saw heroes like Death Prophet almost completely disappear.
So in order to sort all of these problems out, as well as give the metagame another good shake, Valve has now unleashed Patch 7.32b. While it's nowhere near Patch 7.32 in size, its impact should not be underestimated as even small numerical changes have the power to greatly reshape the Dota 2 landscape.
Case in point, both Soul Ring and Urn of Shadows/Spirit Vessel have received small but meaningful nerfs. Soul Ring's recipe cost has increased from 245 to 400 which will delay those early-game power spikes on heroes like Dawn Breaker, while Urn of Shadows and Spirit Vessel's cast range has been decreased from 950 to 750 in order to make finishing off fleeing opponents just a bit trickier.
Speaking of Dawnbreaker, her base damage has gone down by 2, while Celestial Hammer's damage has been decreased from 60/90/120/150 to 50/80/110/140. This, combined with the Soul Ring changes, should go a long way towards curbing her dominance in the off lane.
You can also expect to see buffs to underperforming heroes like Death Prophet, Primal Beast, Brewmaster and Naga Siren. There's far too many changes to simply summarize, so if you're interested in all of the details you can find the full patch notes over at the Dota 2 website.
Once the next big update arrives, and there's almost certainly going to be one before The International tournament, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, have fun trying out the new changes!
