[Update]: Amplitude has released new information and a couple of screenshots for Endless Legend: Shifters, which has now been confirmed for April 7.

If this is your first time hearing about Endless Legend it is a 4X turn-based strategy game in vein of the Civilization series but with much more diverse factions and interesting game world. Even on launch there was plenty of content to enjoy but many updates and even an expansion later and Endless Legend is now brimming with things to do and peoples to conquer.

And according to a recent Twitch stream celebrating "Endless Day" its set to become even better as a new expansion titled Shifters is set to arrive on April 2016. The developers Amplitude didn't release much about the expansion but here's what we do know:

- There will be a new major faction called the Allayi

- They will be able to shift during winter in order to turn a disadvantage in to an opportunity for themselves

- All factions will be able to collect a new material, the Pearls of Auriga, which they can offer at the Altar of Auriga in exchange for special powers or ways to mitigate the winter's impact

- The Shifters expansion is slated to arrive this April though no price or actual date are known as of yet

While there unfortunately isn't more information on the Shifters expansion there is currently an in-game event running across three different Amplitude games: Endless Space, Endless Legend and Dungeon of the Endless.

As a thank you for the community's support over the years Amplitude will be giving out the Endless Archivist hero and special Steam achievements to everyone that plays the above mentioned games before Monday, 25th of January.
