[Update]: As a small holiday present, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has added a new Arena Mode.

Even though the original game launched nearly a decade ago, the remastered Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has just received its very first modern expansion! Fatesworn brings with it an increased level cap, a massive new landscape to explore, randomized dungeons, a whole assortment of new enemies and bosses to fight, and naturally, a mountain of new loot to hoard like a dragon!

If you're interested in what all of this might look like in action, allow me to share with you two of the recent trailers. The first one is focused primarily on the story, while the second one is all about showing off the new locations and enemies. Have a peek:

I haven't tried Fatesworn myself so take the following with a few grains of salt, but from what I've seen online it's pretty much just more Kingdoms of Amalur to play around with. So if you've enjoyed the formula so far, and don't mind forgiving some of the usual post-launch bugs that seem to follow games these days, then Fatesworn's probably worth giving a closer look.

You can do so, as well as check out some of the user reviews, over at Steam. Have fun, and here's to hoping we'll get a Kingdoms of Amalur 2 at some point in the future as well!
