After quite a few teasers and promises Epic has now finally released an update to Fortnite's Battle Royale map. The new version features a variety of different biomes that make each environment feel just a little bit different, new locations such as a city and an underground mine to explore and get splattered in, as well as numerous improvements and changes to the original areas.
If you're wondering what all of this might look like in-game, you'll find what you seek in the recently posted trailer down below. The video won't exactly give you a detailed overview of the new map, but it will at least show you what some of the new areas look like. Have a gander, it's a fairly short video:
As expected, this update has also brought with it a whole bunch of balance changes and bug fixes. Most of the changes are fairly minor, but the one thing you should keep in mind is that friendly fire has now been disabled! This is a bit of a experimental change and it's most likely going to be tweaked in the very near future, but if you have any strong opinions either way you'll be glad to hear that Epic is currently looking for community feedback on just this matter.
If you're interested in all of the details, as well as the changes to the PvE mode, you'll find the full patch notes over at the official website.
