In an announcement that I must admit came as a great surprise, GOG and Blizzard recently teamed up to re-release Warcraft 1, Warcraft 2 and Diablo. Best of all, each of the three games arrived without any sort of DRM attached to them!
The good news doesn't end there, however, as GOG has now also included Diablo's Hellfire expansion free of charge. And yes, this includes both current and future owners of the original Diablo!
As for the Hellfire expansion itself, it features a non-canon storyline that will you have you face off against the demon Na-Krul who is attempting to raze Tristram. While not made by the original developers, the Hellfire expansion still offers a brand new Monk class to play around with, a variety of new items and regions to explore, as well as a couple of new bosses to endlessly farm for loot! In other words, if you're itching for more classic Diablo gameplay, that's exactly what you're going to get.
