Given how old League of Legends is and how many characters it currently has milling about, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that some of them need a bit of help in order to stay relevant. And since they couldn't decide which one to rework next, Riot is now giving the community a chance to make that choice for them. 

The five lucky candidates are: Fiddlesticks, Shyvanna, Nocturne, Dr. Mundo and Volibear. Besides the obvious tweaks to their abilities and playstyle, the rework will also spruce up the chosen champion's visuals, story, animations, voice acting, skins, and pretty much everything else. So whatever champion you decide to go with, know that they will be getting the full treatment!

As for which one to choose, my opinion might not exactly be relevant given that I haven't played League of Legends in quite a while, but I'm putting my vote for Volibear. Thematically he is an awesome champion (for goodness sake he's an armored lightning-bear!), but in gameplay terms he just never managed to find himself a niche.  

Volibear's concept is far too epic to languish in mediocrity!

Back when I played he constantly shuffled between being absolutely worthless and potentially overpowered, never really feeling like he has any sort of purpose in the game. Things may have changed for the better since then, but given that he's one of the champions on this list, I have a feeling that poor ol' Volibear has remained mostly the same. Hopefully that will change in the future! 

Whichever champion ends up winning, it is important to mention that it doesn't mean the other champions won't get any sort of changes or reworks in the future. It only means that the chosen champion will be the one they will focus on next, so don't worry if you're like me and you love quite a few of these misfits!
