[Update #2]: Update 4 has added Alatreon, Frostfang Barioth and a new event.
[Update]: The next patch featuring the mighty Alatreon has unfortunately been delayed.
I hope you're in the mood for some challenging content, because Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has just added two new endgame hunts. The first of these two new events is the Master Rank Kulve Taroth. Unlike the previous Kulve Taroth Siege you might be familiar with, this event will work like a standard hunt where you and up to three other players have to take down the Elder Dragon all on your own.
As you might expect, Master Rank Kulve Taroth will drop a variety of new materials which can be used to craft fancy new armor and Palico gear. More importantly, you can also use the materials to upgrade your weapons even further. So while the hunt itself is expected to be quite tough, the rewards are definitely worth the effort!
The second part of this update, Arch-Tempered Namielle, will be arriving as a part of an event on May 1st. Expect the newly upgraded version of Namielle to be far more aggressive and have much stronger attacks, higher elemental affinity, as well as boatloads of health to burn through. Needless to say, you'll want to bring your best gear and stock up on consumables if you're even planning to get a quarter through the fight.
Much like the Master Rank Kulve Taroth, Arch-Tempered Namielle will offer skilled players a variety of new materials. These can be used to create the Namielle Tentacle Gamma set which combines the best attributes of both the Alpha and Beta variants, making it a truly powerful and versatile armor set. Oh, and if you're a fan of cosmetics, you'll also be glad to hear that Arch-Tempered Namielle will drop items that can be used to craft a whole bunch of layered armor sets!
Good luck on the hunt, and I'll leave you with a brief trailer showing the two beasties in action. Enjoy!
