[Update]: Duskmourn: Alchemy has now arrived, and I'm happy to say it's one of the best mini-sets they've ever done!
I hope you're in the mood for a bit of spookiness as MTG Arena is getting a brand new batch of horror-themed cards on October 15th. Much like the previous supplemental sets, Alchemy: Duskmourn will bring with it 30 new cards of varying rarities to mess around with.
The goal with the new mini-expansion is to beef up some of the mechanics and deck archetypes from the main set, add a couple of fun Commanders for the Brawl crowd, and more likely than not introduce a few build-arounds for players to experiment with. The full list of cards has sadly not been revealed just yet, but I can share with you the rather interesting new room that accompanied the announcement:
While I'm not sure if this is going to be powerful enough for 60-card formats given that it doesn't do much on its own, I can definitely see it being a staple in token focused Brawl decks. It's basically the perfect card for grindy matchups since it allows you to transform even a humble 1/1 into something monstrous, all the while triggering any enchantment synergies you might have. Also, hats off to whoever designed the card. The flavor for the Endless Corridor is on point!
Once the full list of cards gets revealed, usually a couple of days before the set goes live, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, have fun with Duskmourne!
[Update]: While no written list has been released just yet, the MTG Arena team has revealed all of the upcoming Alchemy: Duskmourn cards through the video below. Best of all, there's quite a few fun designs in there! Have a peek:
