NieR Replicant official artwork and logo

After a few rounds of teasers and previews, the remastered version of NieR: Automata's prequel has now finally arrived onto PC and consoles. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 (and yes, that is actually its name) brings with it enhanced visuals and support for modern resolutions, a brand new soundtrack recorded by NieR:Automata composer Keiichi Okabe, as well as a bunch of quality-of-life tweaks to make the gameplay flow a bit better.

You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in action through one of the recent trailers. Have a gander, it's a rather interesting one:

Unfortunately, much like NieR: Automata itself, it seems that the PC version of NieR Replicant has some technical issues. However, unlike NieR: Automata that is still waiting on the developers to fix those problems, there are at least some workarounds for NieR Replicant. So if you do decide to dive in yourself, be prepared to spend a bit of time getting everything running properly before you can actually start playing.

Should Square Enix and Toylogic fix these problems, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can check out some of the user reviews and workarounds by hopping over to NieR Replicant's Steam page. Have fun!
