[Update]: Overwatch 2 will be testing whether 6v6 is worth coming back to in Season 14.

Throughout Season 9 Blizzard managed to greatly improve Overwatch 2, and so I'm happy to say that with the upcoming Season 10 it looks like they'll be continuing in the exact same direction. Expect to see a brand new hero, a whole bunch of quality-of-life improvements, numerous balance changes, and even a little sneak peek at the new Clash game mode.

Once it arrives on April 16th, the definite highlight of Season 10 will be the brand new DPS hero Venture which is a close range specialist with a surprising amount of mobility, and quite a unique toolkit as well! So before I spoil anything by accident, allow me to share with you Venture's gameplay trailer. Have a peek, it's a rather fun one:

If that sounds like something you'd love to mess around with, you'll also be pleased to hear that in Season 10 all heroes will become free and instantly accessible! As soon as you've completed the tutorial and unlocked the original cast, all of the heroes in Overwatch 2 will become available for you to play around with, and this includes Venture!

Keeping on with the theme of good changes, Season 10 will also make old Mythic tier skins purchasable, though seemingly not with real money. The exact details are currently few and far between, but it looks like you'll be able to acquire a new currency through the Battle Pass which you'll then be able to use to not only pick up any Mythic skin of your choice, but also unlock their styles. If that is indeed the case, consider me impressed as that's a pretty good system!

You can read a little bit more about what else is coming with Season 10, as well as keep track of any future teasers, over at the official website. Enjoy, and I'll make sure to let you know once Season 10 finally arrives this April 16th.

Up for some more?
