[Update #2]: Overwatch will be adding Ashe’s Deadlock Challenge on June 22, 2021.
[Update]: Overwatch's June 2021 update has brought in small but noticable nerfs to McCree, Zarya, Baptiste and Echo.
If there is anything you've missed from the previous Overwatch events, be that a cosmetic or limited-time game mode, you might be pleased to hear that the Anniversary 2021 update is nearly upon us. Once it launches later today (May 18) it'll bring with it an assortment of new cosmetics and dances, as well as all of the various skins, voice lines, animations and game modes from all of the previous events!
While there is still no proper trailer, Blizzard has at least revealed a couple of the new hero skins. Sombra will be dressing up like Catwoman, Moira will be going back to nature, while Baptiste is looking to light up the dance floor with a funky new look!
In other news, it's also worth mentioning that Blizzard will be revealing brand new details for Overwatch 2's PvP side this May 20th, closely followed by a developer Q&A on May 24th. What exactly they'll reveal, nobody currently knows, but I'm expecting to hear more about the tank role rework, new Push game mode, big balance changes, and if we're lucky, a little bit about the new heroes.
Once all of this goes live I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can check out last year's Anniversary cosmetics over at the Overwatch website. Enjoy!
