Out of all the announcements that came with this year's Blizzcon, the upcoming "Blizzard World" Overwatch map might just be the strangest one. Instead of having something that even loosely fits the Overwatch world, the new map is essentially a theme park celebrating Blizzard's various games. While I'm not exactly a fan of this sort of silliness and self-referential humor, I am very glad to say that Blizzard World will be a Hybrid map (like Hollywood, King's Row, etc.)!
If you're interested in seeing what Blizzard World might look like in-game, you'll find what you're looking for in the recently posted teaser trailer down below. Its not very long, but it goes over pretty much all of the important areas. Have a look:
According to the developers, Blizzard World will be coming to the PTR very soon, though no exact date has been given just yet. This is pure speculation on my part, but I am willing to wager that Blizzard World will arrive to the PTR alongside Moira at some point next week. The reason I say this is because Sombra took only a couple of days to go from being revealed to being fully playable, so chances are high that the same will happen again.
While we wait, make sure to check out the other Blizzcon 2017 announcements as Blizzard has really gone all-out this year. They even reveled World of Warcraft: Classic - a fully authentic vanilla World of Warcraft experience!
