After being revealed during this year's Blizzcon, Overwatch's latest hero Ashe has now already made her way onto the PTR. As is tradition with these things, she's currently only available on the PC version, but worry not as the skill-based gunslinger is bound to hit the live servers in the very near future as well.
If you haven't watched Blizzcon and you have no idea who Ashe is, let alone what her abilities are, allow me to share with you two of the recent trailers. The first one is a cinematic short showing off her duel with McCree, while the second video is a rather well-edited ability overview. Have a gander, they're both well worth a look:
I'll reserve my full judgment for when Ashe actually becomes available in Competitive Play, but from everything I've experienced on the PTR I have to say I'm more than pleased with her design. She has the potential to deal absolutely ridiculous amounts of damage if she lands all of her skills, yet all that damage relies entirely on her ability to aim and manage her cooldowns. Whether she's going to be balanced from the get-go, I'm afraid I have no idea, but I can already tell you she's going to be significantly less frustrating to deal with than Doomfist or Brigitte - and that is always a positive in my book!
Once Ashe reaches the live serves, or if she undergoes any major changes, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, I fully recommend you give the PTR a try, if for no other reason than to witness the resurgence of poor ol' Roadhog!
