[Update #2]: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous third expansion, The Treasure of The Midnight Isles, is a standalone roguelike adventure.

[Update]: Owlcat Games have announced they're working on a Warhammer 40k turn-based CRPG - Rogue Trader!

Only a short bit of time has gone by since Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous' very first expansion Inevitable Excess arrived, and already Owlcat Games have unleashed a brand new one. However, instead of pushing the power level to ridiculous degrees and having you deal with cosmic threats or the gods themselves, the freshly launched Through the Ashes DLC is far more humble in scope.

It follows a group of completely ordinary characters attempting to survive in the demon infested city of Kenabres. In order to do so you'll have to contend with rapidly dwindling resources, enemies that are vastly stronger than your motley crew, as well as an assortment of difficult decisions, all in an effort to save as many people as possible.

What this looks like in action, that you can check out through the launch trailer below. Have a peek:

Unfortunately, much like the launch version of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous itself, Through the Ashes is currently suffering from a fair few bugs. So unless you're extremely eager to dive into a challenging new campaign, it would be a wise idea to give Owlcat Games a little bit of time to fix everything up.

You can keep track of their progress, as well as learn more about Through the Ashes in general, over at Steam. Enjoy!
