ELEX is an upcoming post-apocalyptic open-world RPG from the creators of the Risen and Gothic series. Now before you run away screaming because of how generic and boring the "post-apocalyptic" tag has become, allow me to just say that ELEX is not set in either a zombie or a nuclear apocalypse. Instead, the action in ELEX takes place many years after a giant meteor nearly wiped out all of civilization, but also deposited some rather... interesting new substances across the land.
You'll find a much better explanation, as well as some lovely artwork, over at the recently posted story trailer down below. And don't worry about spoilers as all of the stuff you'll see is fairly basic world-building and lore. Anyway, here's the video:
I would love to tell you more, but I'm afraid there is simply not much information available right now. You can find a few more tidbits over at the official website, but it seems we're going to have to wait until we're closer to release for some actual details. And speaking of which, ELEX will be coming to PC and consoles in Q3 2017, though no exact release date has been given just yet.
