If you're in the mood for a bit of scheming and murder, while occasionally pretending to lead a functioning nation, you might interested to hear that Paradox has now launched an extended free 'weekend' for Crusader Kings 3. Simply head on over to Steam, download the game, and you'll be able to play for free until March 21st.

As for those of you curious about what exactly Crusader Kings 3 is even all about, allow me to share the original launch trailer. It's not heavy on the gameplay, but it should still clue you in quite quickly. Have a peek:

On the other hand, if you're wondering whether I would recommend giving Crusader Kings 3 a try, that would depend entirely on how much you enjoy sandbox games. While Crusader Kings 3 brands itself as a strategy game, and it pretty much is one when you look at the gameplay mechanics, in reality it's more of a 'messing around simulator' than anything else.

The most fun thing you can do is impose a couple of challenges upon yourself and then try to make things work as your entire empire crumbles around you. It's in those moments of madness and hilarity that Crusader Kings 3 truly shines, so if that's your cup of tea, then I'd definitely give it a try while it's still free to do so.

Have fun causing as much chaos as possible!
