[Update]: Rage 2's very first expansion Rise of the Ghosts is coming on September 26th.

After a massive amount of previews and trailers, RAGE 2 has now finally made its way to PC and consoles. As you would expect, RAGE 2 is a first-person shooter set in a dystopian future, though unlike it's predecessor, it is a lot more colorful, cheesy and delightfully over-the-top.

If you're wondering how all of that translates into actual gameplay, and especially the last few parts, allow me to share with you the recent launch trailer. Have a gander, it's certainly an interesting one:

While I would love to tell you that RAGE 2 lives up to all of the hype it has managed to build over the past few months, I'm afraid that the situation is a bit more disappointing than that. RAGE 2 is a not a bad game by any stretch, don't get me wrong, but it is one that is unfortunately being held back by poor pacing, a mediocre story, and enemies that really aren't as interesting as they seemed in the trailers. It's still well worth a playthrough, but if you ask me, I'd say wait for a bit of a discount first.

Whatever your opinion on the matter may be, you can learn more about RAGE 2, as well as potentially grab yourself a copy, over at the official website. Enjoy!
