Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind the Titanfall series, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, has now begun working on a brand new game. The details are still few and far between, but according to their Careers page this game will be a brand new IP and will not be related to Respawn's previous work.
In terms of gameplay, it seems that this new project will very likely be some sort of looter-shooter or a co-op focused game as the brief description mentions "adventuring until the heat death of the universe". I'd love to tell you more, but considering the game in question is likely still in its infancy, I don't think even Respawn knows what exactly it'll be about.
The good news is that Respawn has an amazing track record when it comes to creating games that simply feel great to play, with a special mention going to Titanfall 2 and the awesome nonsense you can pull off once you master its movement and gunplay. So if Respawn can take that style of gameplay and translate it into a more co-op focused experience, I could definitely see myself having quite a bit of fun with it!
Once more information becomes available I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can at least keep yourself busy with Apex Legends' rather chunky Season 9 update that's coming this May!
