If you haven't done your Overwatch placement matches just yet, or if you're really close to reaching a higher rank, you might want to get that done soon as the 13th competitive season is just about ready to end. To be more specific, it will be concluding this December 31st at 2pm PST.

While there are no major balance changes coming in with the next season, I am glad to say that Competitive Play itself will be getting a small but noticeable improvement. The off-season break that once lasted two weeks before being slashed down to only a couple of days, will once again be getting a reduction - this time around to a mere two hours! So if you're like me and you greatly enjoy Competitive Play, you'll no longer need to stop playing it for completely arbitrary reasons!

For those of you that might only occasionally visit the competitive scene, here are the sort of rewards you can expect to see depending on your rank. And mind you, these rewards are based on your highest rank this season, rather than the one you will end with, so don't feel like you need to stop playing if you've finally managed to reach the rank you've been striving for. Anyway, here's the list of rewards:

SR 1-1499 (Bronze): 65 CP

SR 1500-1999 (Silver): 125 CP

SR 2000-2499 (Gold): 250 CP

SR 2500-2999 (Platinum): 500 CP

SR 3000-3499 (Diamond): 750 CP

SR 3500-3999 (Master): 1200 CP

SR 4000-5000 (Grandmaster): 1750 CP

Once Blizzard announces any balance changes or additions, I'll make sure to let you know, but until then I wish you the best of luck with your final few competitive matches!

Up for some more?
