Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is FromSoftware's newest action-RPG that's set to arrive this March 22nd for both PC and consoles. You can expect to see numerous Bloodborne and Dark Souls elements make a reappearance, things such as the "challenging but fair" difficulty and gigantic levels riddled with secrets, though Sekiro will also have a far greater focus on visceral combat and mobility. There's even going to be a grappling hook we can toy around with!
If you're wondering what all of this looks like in-game, as well as how a boss fight might work under the newly sped up combat system, you should check out the latest preview down below. It features 12 minutes of pure gameplay, as well as a rather intense boss fight against the Corrupted Monk, so you should hopefully get all of the answers you seek. Have a gander:
I've said this time and time again, but with every new trailer and preview my enthusiasm for Sekiro grows only larger. FromSoftware could've just recreated Dark Souls and I doubt many people would've complained, but instead they've gone all-out on the feudal Japan aesthetic and samurai combat style, which really comes as a breath of fresh air in today's action-RPG world. So while I plan on doing the sensible thing and reserving my judgement for when I finally get my hands on Sekiro, I would be lying if I said I wasn't already convinced I will end up loving it just as much as the Soulsborne series.
But enough babbling from me! If you would like to learn more about Sekiro, as well as follow any future developer updates, you should head on over to the official website or Steam.
