[Update #2]: Shadow Warrior 3's pre-launch preview shows off wacky enemies, even more bad jokes and loads of colorful explosions!

[Update]: It's official, Shadow Warrior 3 will be launching on March 1, 2022!

Much like its predecessors, the upcoming Shadow Warrior 3 will be a fast-paced combination of melee and ranged combat, ridiculous enemies and way, way too many puns for a single person to bear. In terms of improvements, however, Shadow Warrior 3 is also bringing in a grappling hook to even further emphasize mobility and aggression, far more colorful levels to explore and ransack, and naturally, even more over-the-top weaponry to toy around with.

As for what exactly all of this looks like in gameplay terms, that you can find out through the recently posted and rather lengthy preview. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun one:

While some of the animations do feel a little stiff, I have to say that Shadow Warrior 3 is looking pretty darn enticing so far. I especially love that you can tear off the weapons wielded by some of the more powerful monsters and use them to clean up the smaller rifraff. So as long as Flying Wild Hog can create levels that keep the combat fresh and interesting throughout the entire campaign, I'd say that Shadow Warrior 3 has nothing to worry about.
