Forspoken action-adventure screenshot of a giant mysterious ring in the distance

After a lengthy delay, Square Enix's exploration focused action-adventure Forspoken has now finally been unleashed onto PC and consoles. As you might imagine given the genre alone, Forspoken is all about wondering across an open world in search of treasure, secrets, and enemies to smash in the face with a wide array of flashy spells.

Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you one of the lengthier gameplay previews. That should give you a pretty good idea what Forspoken looks like, plays like and what it's even trying to do. Have a gander:

When it comes to its actual quality, so far it looks like Forspoken is solid game, though nothing too special. The main standouts are definitely the combat and movement mechanics, though the overall narrative and technical performance leave a lot to be desired. So if you're wondering if Forspoken is worth the absolutely insane €80 price tag - the answer is an easy no. If you can get it at a deep discount somewhere down the line, and you don't mind a middle-of-the-road sort of action-adventure, in that case I'd say it's worth the trouble.

If you want to make up your own mind, however, it's also important to mention that Forspoken has a free demo available! It's decently lengthy as well, so it should give you good idea of where exactly you stand with Forspoken and its gameplay.

You can check the demo out, as well as learn more about Forspoken as a whole, over at Steam. Enjoy!
