The original StarCraft is perhaps one of the most impressive games ever created. Not only was it an excellent strategy game, but it also fostered a gigantic modding/map-making community and an eSports scene so large its effects are still felt in South Korea today!

With all of that in mind, I am delighted to say that StarCraft is currently celebrating an equally impressive milestone - its 20th anniversary! Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted and extremely nostalgic Anniversary Celebration video. Have a gander:

If you would like to join the festivities, as well as pick up some bonus goodies for a variety of other Blizzard games, you should head on over to the official website. You can get things such as bonus packs in Hearthstone, a new legendary Ghost Kerrigan skin in Overwatch, an awesome Battlecruiser pet in Diablo 3, and the list goes on. They're all relatively minor bonuses, but I don't think anyone can really complain about free stuff, especially when most of it looks genuinely good!

Oh, and if this has put you into a very Starcraft-y mood, it is worth mentioning that the original Starcraft and Starcraft 2's multiplayer are completely free to play. So if you're up for a trip down memory lane, or just checking out a darn good RTS, now would be a really good time to do so. Have fun!
