After the visually unimpressive Game of Thrones series many were worried if Telltale's dated engine will be able to even handle Batman and his rather colorful cast of villains. Thankfully, these worries have ended up being unfounded as Batman is well on his way to become one of the most graphically impressive Telltale games, especially considering how well the art style fits the comic book theme.
You will find three of the four screenshots below, though unfortunately they are of a small size, but its the art style that counts... right?
Along with the screenshots, Telltale also revealed the talented actors who will give life to the caped crusader and his companions. Troy Baker will take up the role of Bruce Wayne, Enn Reitel will be his stalwart butler and Murphy Guyer will appear as Lieutenant James Gordon. On the "villain" side of things we have Travis Willigham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle. The only strange thing here is that they've announced all of the cast, yet kept Batman's voice actor a secret... quite bizarre! Just kidding, please don't send me angry emails!
As a final bit of info, here's what Telltale CEO had to say about the upcoming Batman series:
"We've been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City. The complex life and fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne has lent itself to becoming a bold evolution of the signature 'Telltale' role-playing experience, and we couldn't be more excited as we prepare to debut the series to players across the world this summer."
Batman: The Telltale Series will appear this summer for PC, Mac, and the consoles.
