Telltale has been teasing their upcoming Batman series for many months now, but despite the various announcements and press releases they haven't revealed much in terms of useful information, or even any gameplay footage.

Thankfully, the dry streak has now finally ended as Telltale has recently released the very first official trailer for Episode 1: Realm of Shadows. Have a look:

As you can probably see from the trailer itself, Telltale's engine seems to have undergone a series of major improvements as the quality of the graphics has gone significantly up, especially when it comes to the background details. Unfortunately, the facial expressions still feel strange and unnatural, a real shame given how character-focused Telltale's games tend to be, but at least its still a major upgrade over their Game of Thrones series.

Whether its going to be just as good as The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us, I don't know, but we won't have to wait for very long in order to find out as Episode 1: Realm of Shadows is set to arrive digitally on August 2. If you prefer physical editions, however, the "Season Pass" boxed copy will be available on September 13 in North America and September 16 in Europe.
