Battlerite is the spiritual successor to Bloodline Champions, and much like its predecessor its a highly skill-based and team-orientated PvP brawler. There is absolutely no luck factor or randomness that can possibly influence your matches, so the only way you're going to secure victory is through teamwork, knowledge, and personal skill! Its not a game for everyone, but if you're looking for something truly competitive then Battlerite fits the bill quite nicely.

With that in mind, I am very glad to say that Battlerite has now reached its long-awaited free-to-play phase! As you might expect, the free-to-play version has some limitations when it comes to the number of available characters, but since all of them are competitively viable its not exactly a massive problem. At least not one that you can't overcome through skill alone.

If you would like to give it a try yourself, or just learn a little bit more, you should head over to either Steam or the official website. On the other hand, if you're wondering about my opinion about Battlerite, you'll find my relatively outdated review over here. Long story short, "Battlerite has decided to undertake the rather difficult task of emulating Bloodline Champions, and much to my surprise, it has managed to not only replicate the gameplay but also improve it through a variety of small tweaks! So if you are a fan of Bloodline Champions, or if you enjoy games with a heavy focus on teamwork and personal skill, then I can comfortably recommend you Battlerite."

And as a final note, allow me to send you off with the recently posted free-to-play launch trailer. Its not very long, but it will give you a pretty damn good idea of just what kind of PvP game you're getting yourself into with Battlerite. Enjoy!
