[Update]: Creative Assembly has announced that Total War: Warhammer 2 will be getting at least two more major updates and DLCs.

If you're a fan of strategy games, you might want to give the downright excellent Total War: Warhammer 2 a bash as it's currently entirely free to try out. All you have to do is head on over to Steam, click on the giant "Play Game" button, and you'll be sending scores of your own ratmen to die from careless friendly fire in no time.

The one catch is that this free weekend will only last for another two days, so you might want to get started as soon as possible. After all, Total War: Warhammer 2 is an absolutely massive game, even if you ignore all of the DLCs.

As for whether it's actually worth your time, my answer would obviously be yes given that I've probably spent the greater part of this quarantine playing it. Rather than try to explain why that is the case in a paragraph or two, you can read exactly why I love the series through my "You Should Try Total War: Warhammer" piece I wrote a while back. It's a little bit outdated as it concerns the original Total War: Warhammer, but it'll still give you a good idea of how the series has managed to capture the hearts and minds of so many people.

Have fun, and I'll leave you with the cinematic trailer, just for good measure.
