At this point I'm basically convinced XCOM 3 is going to get announced some time soon. Not only has XCOM 2 been a part of one massive sale after another for the past few months, but Firaxis is now giving it away for free as well!

So if you're in the mood for some turn-based strategy goodness, head on over to the Epic Games Store to grab yourself a free copy of XCOM 2. The giveaway will only last until April 21st, however, so do make sure to add it to your account as soon as you can. Once you've done that you won't have to worry about any sort of time limits - it'll be yours to keep.

As for whether XCOM 2 is worth the time and trouble, I would say the answer is a definite yes if you're even remotely interested in strategy games. Its only major flaw is that it's dangerously addictive, so you might just find yourself losing quite a few hours of sleep once you get your campaign underway! Silliness aside, it really is a great game, so I'd highly recommend at least giving it a try... especially while it's free!
