If you thought your wallet was safe after the terribly cruel reign of the Steam Winter Sale ended I'm afraid I might be the bearer of bad news, or amazing news depending on your viewpoint and account balance.
The Humble Winter Sale launched recently and brought with it a ton of discounts on everything from AAA games to the smallest of indies. There are plenty of bargains to be had so I'd suggest you give it a look.
Just from a cursory glance I can recommend you go for Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin, Cities Skylines, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Dishonored: GOTY & Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition. All of these games belong among my favorites and most importantly are on a steep discount so you'll be getting a ton of value for your buck.
Unlike the recent Steam sale however the Humble Winter sale does appear to have a daily component to it. What exactly will that entail I have no idea but it doesn't seem to be discount related given how many "top-tier" games are already reduced in price. I suppose we'll just have to wait out the final four hours of day one and see what happens.
As per usual, 10% of your purchase will go towards the charity of your choice. The default is Child's Play and while I have nothing against it I'd suggest you chose some other as Child's Play is fairly well known and receives a sizable amount each year. Personally I'd go with Charity: Water as those folks do a lot of good all over the world.
The Humble Winter Sale is live right now and will last till January 31st. Enjoy the games!
