[Update #2]: Resident Evil 3 and its companion Resident Evil 3 Resistance have been released, though sadly they don't seem to have lived up to the high standards set by Resident Evil 2.
[Update]: The demo has finally arrived, and I'm happy to say Resident Evil 3 is looking pretty darn good right now!
The Resident Evil 3 remake is set to arrive this April 3rd, bringing with it the mighty Nemesis as an even more omnipresent and terrifying threat than Resident Evil 2's quite dapper Mr. X! So if you're like me and you're currently more than eager to get your hands on the remake, you'll be glad to hear that Resident Evil 3 will be getting a free demo like its predecessor.
While I would love to tell you when exactly the demo will drop, I'm afraid Capcom has left things at a rather vague "in the near future." That said, quite a few previews have already gone live, all of which seem to be based on the same chunk of gameplay, so I think it's safe to say the demo really is just around the corner.
Whether the demo will once again be a 'one-shot' that only allows you to play for 30 minutes, Capcom hasn't revealed just yet. However, given the massive success of Resident Evil 2's demo and the buzz it caused online, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they end up following pretty much the same formula.
Once some actual, concrete information becomes available I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, I'll leave you with one of the recent trailers highlight good ol' Nemesis. Enjoy!
