If you've somehow missed the dozens of previous giveaways for CDPR's very first game, The Witcher, you'll be happy to hear that there's a brand new one currently live. Best of all, this giveaway will not be going away next week as is usually the case, but will remain active indefinitely!

As you might imagine, this does mean there is a bit of a catch. In order to claim yourself a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition you will need to install the GOG Galaxy client and sign up for the GOG newsletter. A slight annoyance perhaps, but nothing too terrible.

For those of you wondering whether the original The Witcher is even worth the trouble, I would say the answer is yes if you're willing to forgive some of its jankiness. For whatever reason The Witcher's very first chapter is by far the worst and least polished one in the entire game, after which things start getting better and better until you hit the endgame and it all finally culminates with probably the best twist in the whole series! So if you do decide to dive in, just bear with it until you reach the first major city.
