Outer Wilds screenshot of a truly strange and alien landscape

[Update]: Right on cue, the Outer Wilds has now landed onto Steam.

The Outer Wilds, not to be confused with Obsidian's The Outer Worlds, is an exploration-focused adventure game about being stuck in a time loop. However, since things can change between each reset, both the challenge and the reward in the Outer Wilds is to figure out ways to enable further exploration and hopefully figure out what in the world is even happening. A pretty fun concept, all things considered.

While the Outer Wilds has been around on PC and consoles for quite a few months now, the PC version was exclusively available through either the Epic Games Store or the Microsoft Store. If you're not exactly a fan of either one, then you'll be glad to hear that the Outer Wilds will also be making its way to Steam this June 18th.

When it comes to learning more about it, the Outer Wilds is unfortunately one of those games you simply have to try out in order to understand. That said, you can get a bit of a better idea of what to expect through the launch trailer down below. Have a gander:

You can keep an eye on any further updates, as well as check out some of the other previews, over at Steam.
